A. No roofer can file a claim on behalf of the homeowner. However, we can offer suggestions of storm dates and help you locate claim numbers to file a claim. Once a claim is filed, an adjuster will call within 48 hours to set up a time to assess your property. Please have a contractor present, as well, for your benefit.
Manufacturer warranties are regulated by industry standards and cover defects in roofing materials only; while warranties for labor are offered by roofing contractors and vary widely depending on the contractor. A. There are no standard temperature guidelines for installing asphalt roof shingles although certain, materials can become brittle during colder months. Tiger Roofing LLC recommends a temperature of 50 degrees or higher to allow for proper laying of shingles.
A. Asphalt shingles must be in compliance with standards and applicable building codes. The performance of asphalt shingles also depends on their compatibility with surrounding roof components in addition to quality.
A. The use of an underlayment protects shingles and decking from wood resins and water penetration and increases fire resistance. Many manufacturer warranties also require the use of an underlayment.
