A. Of course! We love to inspect roofs. If we find any damage, we will not only tell you but also show you with pictures taken of the damage.
A. If a roof leak is the result of a minor damage, roof repair may be all that is required. Tiger Roofing LLC technicians are trained to promptly identify the source of roof leaks and provide practical repair solutions that extend roof lifespan whenever possible.
A. Yes, we can repair your roof. As long as it is isolated. If the roof is in need of replacing, repairs might not be able to be preformed.
A. Yes, Tiger Roofing maintains a GL policy at all times.
A. We do composition, metal, tile, slate roofs. Many choose composition but we encourage homeowners to look at Impact Resistant and higher-end roofs. These options will save money over time and can reduce insurance costs.
A. The average life span of a roof is about 20 years with regular maintenance. Certain types of roofing can last 30 years or longer including cement fiber, tile, slate and copper.
A. Roof quotes may vary due to lack of insurance, the use of subcontractors, or limited experience. Property owners are advised to carefully research a roof contractor’s credentials since lower quotes may indicate substandard work.
A. No roofer can file a claim on behalf of the homeowner. However, we can offer suggestions of storm dates and help you locate claim numbers to file a claim. Once a claim is filed, an adjuster will call within 48 hours to set up a time to assess your property. Please have a contractor present, as well, for your benefit.
Manufacturer warranties are regulated by industry standards and cover defects in roofing materials only; while warranties for labor are offered by roofing contractors and vary widely depending on the contractor. Tiger Roofing LLC does offer warranties with every install, through their preferred contractors.
A. There are no standard temperature guidelines for installing asphalt roof shingles although certain, materials can become brittle during colder months. Tiger Roofing LLC recommends a temperature of 50 degrees or higher to allow for proper laying of shingles.
A. Asphalt shingles must be in compliance with standards and applicable building codes. The performance of asphalt shingles also depends on their compatibility with surrounding roof components in addition to quality.
A. The use of an underlayment protects shingles and decking from wood resins and water penetration and increases fire resistance. Many manufacturer warranties also require the use of an underlayment.
A. Tiger Roofing LLC uses industry recommended galvanized steel or corrosion resistant nails for all asphalt installations according to building code requirements and manufacturer recommendations.
